THANK YOU

charity: water

Guys. A few weeks ago I asked you to join me in donating my 24th birthday to charity. We called it, “Nate’s Anti-Birthday” and, quite honestly, it was a success.

As of today, March 27th, we’ve raised $2,502 for charity: water (http://www.charitywater.org), an organization that funds clean water projects in developing nations. $2502 can give 125 people clean water for 20 years. Water will change everything for these people. Disease will dramatically be reduced. Children will be able to go to school and get an education. Men and women will be able to dedicate more time to their jobs, increasing productivity and lowering the poverty level.

Pretty awesome, huh?

The support I’ve received throughout this month has been overwhelming. Your donations, large and small, have culminated into an amount that will have a huge impact. So thank you, everyone, so much.

Also, if you came to the benefit concert last night then I am indebted to you for helping to make it  such a fun time. The spirit and energy in that room was amazing. It was great to see a mix of college friends, coworkers, and randoms mingling together, and more importantly, donating to a good cause. Also playing tambourine on stage with Florida was cool.

So where do we go from here? Well, one thing I learned from doing all this is that you guys are awesome. I really didn’t do much but present a need and an opportunity to help. So there’s clearly a desire and willingness in each of you to support large causes and help people in need. I would encourage you to keep it going. What little things can we do to promote charitable causes? What huge innovative ideas can we think of to help those in need? Let me know how I can help you.

Thanks again,

Nate
